We are Sloppy Games!

Greetings from…

Greetings from… is our first kickstarter pen and paper game. You play as a curious alien tourist, visiting Earth’s most iconic cities. Over the course of 14 in-game days, you roll a die and place polyomino tiles to move through the city map. As you explore, you’ll collect famous landmarks, fabricate souvenirs, taste local specialties and of coures enjoy the local public transportations. Plan your route carefully to score the most points. Every decision matters because space is tight, paths overlap, and no two games play the same.

How to play

Marco Baaß

I am Marco. Photograher, Webdeveloper and Boardgame Designer.

I was always interessted in all kinds of games. From ancient classics like chess and backgammon to video games and modern board games. Playing was always the fun part, but figuering out how games work, how they are made and the ideas behind became also more and more exciting.

Greetings from… is the result of playing arround a lot with one of my favourite mechanics. Polynominol puzzling. From early tetris as kid till today I love the unique puzzles this genre creates.

I hope our little game brings the same joy and satisfaction to the players, as we had developing it.

Benno Thönelt

Hi, I’m Benno – board game designer, graphic designer, and UX developer from Germany.

I’ve loved games for as long as I can remember. Not just playing them, but inventing them. Tinkering with ideas. Shaping rules. Making things not only work, but feel right. I’m fascinated by the moment when mechanics, theme, and visual design click together and create something memorable.

With Greetings from Earth I wanted to create something playful and slightly mischievous — a game that feels light on the surface, but reveals clever decisions underneath. I love designing experiences that connect people around a table, spark conversations, and create small, unexpected moments.

I believe good games don’t have to be loud. They can be inviting, curious, a little wild — and still deeply engaging.

I’m happy you’re here. Welcome to the journey.
